Join a relaxed small-group workshop at beautiful Grevillea Park and build confidence taking control of your camera settings. This beginner-friendly session will guide you through the fundamentals of shutter speed, aperture and ISO in a clear, practical way.
Our main focus will be photographing flowers, with attention to thoughtful composition, accurate focus and creative use of depth of field. You will learn how to isolate your subject, manage background distractions and make intentional choices rather than relying on Auto mode. We will also discuss how different lenses behave and simple ways to care for your equipment.
With plenty of hands-on practice and individual guidance throughout the session, this class is ideal for anyone ready to move beyond Auto and create more purposeful, well-crafted images.
Please note: Grevillea Park has a $7 entry fee, payable at the gate by cash or card.

First Light Seascapes Rock Formations and Water Movement

Join us for an early morning seascape session at Bombo Quarry as we explore water movement, long exposures, rock formations, coastal textures, and strong seascape compositions. This dramatic location offers wonderful opportunities to photograph waves, patterns in the water, rugged volcanic rocks, and the changing mood of the coast in the first light of day. Please note that participants must be capable of negotiating uneven rocky surfaces, loose rocks, and steep stairs in the dark, unaided.

A walk through the rainforest

Step into the rainforest for a mid-morning session focused on ferns, forest textures, and layered greens to patterns, shapes, and small-scale compositions. Please note there are some short steep sections. Most of the walk is on a raised boardwalk, but it is not suitable for anyone uncomfortable with a moving suspension bridge. There is an additional cost of $12 per car payable on arrival to the Rainforest centre.
